While there are many things that we think are special about Super Duper Arts Camp, there are 3 main things about who we are and what we do that we feel truly set us apart from other camps and stretch the boundaries of what people come to expect from a day camp:
Our Programming
While many camps offer a program that is based on fine arts or performance arts or sports or adventure, our program offers a kaleidoscope of activities and experiences that are as diversified as the unique interests and personalities of our campers, allowing campers the opportunity to do a little bit of everything and discover what it is they are interested in taking further. Additionally, as our campers age, the program evolves, providing an increasingly expansive experience that follows the trajectory of their growth, so that every year brings more of what they love and a host of new adventures. click to read more about our programming
Our Philosophy
Summer camp is supposed to be fun. That’s a no-brainer. But, in addition to working to ensure that our campers have as much fun as humanly possible, we feel that we have an even greater responsibility to them. We understand that, even though school is out, a child never stops learning or growing, and therefore, every moment in a child’s life is a teachable moment. Everything we do is based on this growth-centered philosophy, and our entire program is designed to be in service of it. Our Staff
While we have a great philosophy and a great program, they would both be worthless without the right people to implement them. Many camps are content to save a few bucks by hiring teens and calling them counselors, but we understand that we are molding young minds and mapping young souls and that is not a job for the inexperienced. We take great care (and great pride) in finding the right people for our team. Our counselors are mature, responsible, experienced adults, who are in tune with our mission and philosophy, and have the experience and skills to implement them. Many of our counselors work as teachers, mentors or aids during the year. Some are parents themselves. All are experienced and have strong leadership skills. And, of course, they all have that certain Super Duper something that our staff has come to be known for. Bright, shiny spirits, who are creative, intelligent, enthusiastic, and very Super Duper in their own unique way.

It’s about feeling like a part of something bigger than yourself, something special. It’s about being creative, feeling inspired and inspiring others. It’s about unfiltered laughter, unabashed joy and no one being too cool to look or act like a dork in the name of fun. It’s about that summer swagger and milking childhood for everything it has to offer.
Yes, Super Duper Arts Camp is about trying your hand at all the various arts, games, activities & experiences you can handle. But it is so much more.
