A beloved and long-standing tradition at SDAC, Fun Fridays are when we shift away from our “normal” schedule to make way for special activities, games, events, visitors,  performances and treats, all according to a different theme each week.  

Campers and staff are invited to dress according to the theme, with a goal of 100% dress up participation.Campers also get to show their group spirit by delivering their group’s special Fun Friday cheer to the rest of the camp.

We work hard all year to plan an exciting array of activities, events and delight in the excitement as each Fun Friday unfolds as a surprise for the campers.

Fun Friday Events & Activities May Include...

Fun Friday Themes

Fun Friday themes for each week will be included in the Parent Handbook for parent’s convencience and planning (as far costumes, etc).   For campers, we will reveal the theme for each Fun Friday on the Monday of each week.     The built up anticipation and element of surprise have become a tradition campers look forward to and enjoy.  (“Drumroll, please...!”)

Past Fun Friday Themes Have Included

Occasionally, campers get the opportunity to show off what they’ve been working on all session, with a performance for their peers.
