Foundations
Segev and Sara’s Super Duper Arts Camp was founded in 2004 by Sara Schuelein-Perets and Segev Perets to help compensate for the diminishing presence of the arts in the curriculum at their son’s school, and to offer working parents a positive and enriching childcare option during breaks from school.  Soon after, at the request of a group of parents, we began tailoring specialized camps to accommodate the specific schedules of a few local schools.  From there, what can we say? It was a big hit.  The children loved what great fun they had, all the new things they tried and learned and all the new friends they made.  The parents raved about all the wonderful art projects their children brought home, the diversified activities, the organization and genuine care and nurturing their children received.  Word spread like wildfire and Segev and Sara’s Super Duper Arts Camp blossomed into the thriving camp it is today.

Gettin’ Better & Better
With each camp session that passes, we continue to grow our family of families and add new faces, great teachers and staff, and exciting new activities.  In 2005 we moved our show to the Westside Jewish Community Center, which has been a wonderful home for us ever since.  Now, in 2010, we are thrilled to be partnering with The JCC at Milken to bring our Super Duper programming to their community and the West Valley!


The Sunshine Shack
Also in 2006, Segev & Sara founded The Sunshine Shack Preschool.  The Sunshine Shack began as a small transitions program for toddlers age 2 to 3.5 and has since blossomed into thriving full Preschool with programming spanning ages 2 through Pre-K.  

Our Growing Family
With each new smiling face that is added to our community, we grow more and more inspired and we’re looking forward to expanding our community even more, and continuing to share our love of laughter, creativity, play and the arts with old friends and new.

Afterschool Enrichment
Super Duper Arts Camp also provides after school enrichment programs to schools in the Los Angeles area, including many of your favorite classes and teachers from camp.
