Swimming

In addition to all our fun classes & activities, we also go swimming once each week.

Each group of campers gets about 45 minutes to an hour of pool time for a fun “free swim” session, where campers can swim, play and have fun in the pool.  We have pool noodles, balls and all sorts of fun things for the campers to play with in the water, as well inflatable tubes, duckies and arm floats ("floaties") for younger campers who may need them need them.

Swim Day is every Wednesday.  Swim Day is a part of the program for everyone.

Swim Lessons

In addition to our regularly scheduled "free swim" time, which is part of the program and included in tuition, we also offer optional, private (one-on-one) swim lessons with the Lenny Krayzelberg Swim School for an additional fee.

They will be the same great quality swim lessons you would get by signing up for lessons with Lenny K independently, and at the same fee, however with the added convenience of the lesson taking place during the camp day and saving you an additional trip.

  1. Swim Lessons are OPTIONAL

  2. Lessons occur ONCE per week

  3. Lessons take place on Wednesdays

  4. Lessons are IN ADDITION to free swim (not instead)

  5. Lessons are private (one-on-one lesson)

  6. The fee for Swim Lessons is $24 per week

  7. You can enroll for swim lessons when you register

Swim Day Safety

Swim time is very diligently supervised and safety is our TOP priority.  Counselors join the campers in the water and lifeguards, provided by the Lenny K Swim School, keep close watch over swimmers from outside the pool.

During swim time, our staff is very alert and are cognizant of the children's individual swimming ability/water safety level.  They are very hands-on, up close and engaged, making sure everyone is safe and having a fun, positive swimming experience.

Younger campers are limited to swimming in the shallow end only.   Older campers who are proficient swimmers are given the opportunity to take a “safety test” with one of the lifeguards to demonstrate that they are able to swim in the deep end.    Campers who do not pass the swim test remain in the shallow end.

No child will be allowed to swim in an area that is beyond their swimming ability.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child and swimming, please let us know.
